| Biography |
Hailing from Bologna and Cattolica, Italy, the trio, Novi Mystici, creates music as if it were a tapestry, a reinterpretation of antiquity, when music was only a religious and spirtual subject. The inspiration for most of the songs comes, mainly, from the European Middle Ages (circa 1000-1200 A.D.). Some of the similar thematic pieces are extracts from a theatrical composition they were commissioned to do for Faust 2002. The beauty of their music is also inspired by oriental, as well as spirtual philosophies and civilizations that disappeared a long time ago.
